MYNET E PUNTO COM GROUP: UNA PARTNERSHIP TUTTA ITALIANA PER IL FUTURO DI FIBRA E CLOUD
When two local companies choose to collaborate by combining their unique specializations, the result is concrete innovation serving that specific territory.

This is exactly what happens with the partnership signed between Mynet – a national operator with over 32,000 km of proprietary fiber optic and a strong presence in Brescia and its province – and Punto Com Group – a company from Cazzago San Martino, specialized in IT services and artificial intelligence solutions, which has recently inaugurated Punto Com #1, the largest edge computing data center in the province of Brescia (there are fewer than 10 in the whole province), with a 400-kilowatt capacity (the unit of measurement used for data processing centers).

Thanks to the high-performance connectivity provided by Mynet, the new infrastructure will serve up to 3,000 Brescia-based companies, from SMEs to larger industrial enterprises.

An edge data center is a "proximity" computing architecture where data processing occurs as close as possible to the end users, in this case, the client companies, rather than in a centralized data center, thus allowing faster data processing. Moreover, Mynet has directly connected the new data center to its ultra-fast network: a strategic choice that guarantees customers stable and fast connections with high and consistent performance.

"The decision to collaborate with Punto Com Group perfectly aligns with our mission: to directly and efficiently connect edge data centers to the heart of our proprietary network, ensuring high performance thanks to the full control we have over our infrastructure," says Giovanni Zorzoni, General Manager of Mynet.

"For us, this was an important investment" – explains Mauro Quaini, CEO of Punto Com Group"this is an AI data center, a cutting-edge infrastructure designed to manage the high computational demands required by artificial intelligence applications, to meet the current market needs. It has been entirely built on the territory with modern and highly efficient infrastructures, designed to support digital services based on AI, ensuring reliability, speed, and security for our customers. Thanks to Mynet's connection, we will finally be able to bring users closer to the most advanced technologies of today and tomorrow, connecting customer needs with a unique technological hub, ready for the challenges ahead in computational power, data storage, and security, and ensuring the safety of information stored and processed within the data center."

In Italy, there are currently 153 data centers, mainly concentrated in the north, with Milan leading, followed by Rome. This places Italy fourth in Europe, and the demand continues to grow, driven by cloud computing and AI.

"In a sector like telecommunications, where often the focus is on quarterly results rather than service quality, Punto Com Group and Mynet stand as a positive exception: two specialized companies, each a leader in its field, one with cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence and advanced systems services, the other with ultra-reliable fiber optic connectivity services, collaborating to offer the region highly integrated and innovative solutions," adds Zorzoni.

"What brought us together was the shared conviction that the best solutions come from those who know their profession and their field well and are not afraid to invest in the territory. The result is a hyper-connected data center designed to last over time, capable of responding precisely to the needs of local businesses, offering AI-based solutions that are fast, reliable, and easy to use," conclude Zorzoni and Quaini.

Two companies with a strong local focus, two different but complementary skills, one common goal: to bring true, measurable, and lasting innovation to the territory, doing what they do best.
