WHEN PUBLIC-PRIVATE SYNERGY WORKS: MYNET FIBER OPTICS ARE ALREADY A REALITY IN SAN GIORGIO BIGARELLO

SAN GIORGIO BIGARELLO – Fiber optic coverage by Mynet has also arrived in San Giorgio Bigarello: the entire "dei fiumi" district bounded by via Fossamana and via Ghisiolo, which includes, among others, Sarca, Mincio, Chiese, and Ticino streets, will soon be reached by true FTTH (Fiber To The Home) fiber, offering web access at speeds up to 1 Gigabit.

The area, until yesterday served only by ADSL connectivity, will in a few days be covered by a highly performing FTTH-based infrastructure, the only one capable of guaranteeing web connection speeds up to 1000Mbit/s and, consequently, access to services now more essential than ever, such as smart working, distance learning, video surveillance, and e-commerce. "By the expression 'fiber optic' we do not mean fiber to the cabinet (FTTC – Fiber To The Cabinet), which has never been possible in that area due to the absence of the cabinet itself," explains Mynet’s General Director, Giovanni Zorzoni, "but true fiber all the way to the home."

"Welcome to downtown Milan!" jokes Zorzoni, pointing out that the service Mynet will provide in the district will be comparable or even superior to that of the large Italian metropolis, which the Mantuan company is already accustomed to providing in more remote areas and digital divide zones.
