HUAWEI NETWORK SUMMIT 2024
The CTO of Mynet Matteo Dalla Bà presented, at the "Huawei Network Summit 2024" #HNC2024 event held in Munich on September 30, the working software extension via Huawei's NetEngine 8000 M14 platform, conceived by our company for a specific MAP-T application, the "static MAP-T".

Developed internally by our company and for our partners to provide high-efficiency residential services, this functionality, unlike standard MAP-T, allows the provision of an IPv6 service with IPv4-as-a-service using the "Mapping of Address and Port using Translation" technique with static assignment of IPv4 and related port ranges, as well as the IPv6 prefix: this greatly simplifies log compliance and allows customers to perform stable IPv4 port forwarding, extremely useful for video surveillance systems, IoT, and other advanced technological solutions.

"Presenting this solution entirely conceived and developed within the company - explains the CTO - was exciting and reflects the daily effort put into improving the products we provide to customers." And he adds: "At Mynet, engineering, prototyping, software development, and beta testing/implementation in a controlled environment are activities that coexist and are completely managed internally, showcasing the level of excellence that an Italian SME investing continuously in research and development can achieve."

"We want to thank Mynet for the joint development collaboration aimed at the evolution of networks from IPv4 to IPv6 in the variants the market requires" said Alexandre Grandeaux, CTO of Huawei Enterprise Italy.

At the moment, the solution is compatible with all modems/routers recommended by the company, but Mynet professionals are working to further expand its compatibility.
