IN BELFIORE MYNET AT WORK ON UPGRADING THE MUNICIPAL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE NETWORK
MANTUA – Mynet completed the upgrade and expansion of the Municipality of Mantua's territorial video surveillance network in mid-July, which, following testing, was inaugurated today.

The expansion of the Municipality of Mantua's video surveillance system, implemented by Mynet, included both previously authorized cameras and new locations identified by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with the Belfiore neighborhood committee, to ensure even richer and more complete context views for the municipal control rooms.

The overall project added a total of 27 high-resolution cameras in the Belfiore area:

The first batch, "Belfiore 1", of 10 cameras is located in the overpass area, monitoring both the cycle/pedestrian path and Via Cremona, along with the residential area between Via Luigi Martini and the adjacent garden promenade;

The second lot, "Belfiore 2", features 4 cameras in the area closest to Lake Superiore between Via Pascoli and Via Ettore Romagnoli, with particular attention to the parking lot and the shoreline, popular with athletes and fishing enthusiasts.

Continuing up Via Pascoli, we find lot "Belfiore 3A": more 4 cameras are positioned here until reaching the intersection with Via Silvio Pellico, a popular route for runners and walkers, as well as a crossing point towards the Santuario di Grazie di Curtatone. This thoroughfare will also be monitored in all directions.

Finally, special attention is being paid to the group of streets near the former slaughterhouse on Via Mambrini, the subject of the fourth and final lot, "Belfiore 3B": 9 night-vision cameras will monitor the intersections with Via Menotti-Pisacane and Via Mambrini-Rovo 24/7.

The entire network is supported by Mynet's fiber-optic infrastructure, which will connect the high-definition camera installation sites to the local police headquarters and the control room for image analysis. It is important to note that the video surveillance sites near the installation areas have been marked with appropriate signage.

"I am very pleased with our company's contribution to the Municipality of Mantua, which significantly extends the 24-hour video surveillance system from the Mantua control room to Belfiore," says Giovanni Zorzoni, General Manager of Mynet. "The video surveillance project conceived by the Municipality of Mantua, which relies on the efficient and secure transmission of our fiber-optic network, has been promptly integrated with the active contribution of the neighborhood committee and has proven even more useful and responsive to the needs of citizens, in a fruitful public-private relationship."
