MYNET FIBER OPTICS ARRIVES IN MEZZANE DI CALVISANO: THE DIGITAL DIVIDE REMAINS A BAD MEMORY
MEZZANE DI CALVISANO (BRESCIA) High-speed internet is now a reality in Mezzane, a hamlet of Calvisano with approximately 500 residents, thanks to Mynet, a national telecommunications operator preparing to bring its stable, powerful, and technologically advanced fiber optic network to local families and businesses.

All the project details were presented during a public meeting held on Wednesday, October 18th, at 9:00 PM in the oratory of the Church of Santa Maria Nascente in Mezzane.

The evening was opened by Michel Lesioli, Calvisano's majority councilor with responsibility for Public Buildings, Urban Planning, and Relations with the Hamlets, and Luciano Zeni, president of the Mezzane Participation Committee. Mynet's general manager, Giovanni Zorzoni, and his sales staff presented the benefits of the super-fast connection and the services available.

A key moment of the evening was dedicated to businesses and the Voucher Plan, which aims to promote ultra-fast connectivity and the digitalization of the production system through connection to Mynet's true fiber optic network.
The Plan is available until December 31st.
The incentive is designed to enhance ultra-broadband connectivity services up to 1.5 Gbps at a discounted activation cost and maintaining the fee agreed upon during the contract signing.

But Mynet, thanks to its close collaboration with TNet, is also ready to accelerate the growth of home users with a convenient offer specifically designed to make smart working, distance learning, ultra-low latency gaming, and high-resolution streaming fully accessible.

"These are the projects that give us the greatest satisfaction - Zorzoni stated - reducing the digital divide in isolated areas, which don't attract the interest of any operator because they lack financial appeal, while offering a quality service, is a source of pride for us. Mezzane demonstrates how much we care about our relationship with the area in which we operate and its community."

Councilor Lesioli, a resident of Mezzane and the true promoter of the initiative, also expressed great satisfaction: "I know that for Mynet this is a significant investment, one that will see a return in years: for this reason, I thank the company for understanding and accepting our request, despite the difficulties. This project is part of a broader redevelopment project for the village center, and for us, fiber optic coverage remains a fundamental component of this modernization. During the Covid emergency, Mezzane's severe infrastructure shortage emerged in full force: many people working remotely and students receiving distance learning were in great difficulty."

Hence the community's request for adequate service, and the Administration has addressed this collective request: "The residents of Mezzane will have the same connectivity opportunities as those who work in a large city. I thank the Committee and its president, Zeni, for their dedication."

"We've been waiting for this moment for a long time, and Mynet has finally arrived - says Zeni - many residents, during and after the Covid emergency, work from home, and the community felt a strong need for a fast line for an effective connection. This project will improve people's lives, and it's a victory for all of Mezzane. I thank Councilor Lesioli, who worked so hard to achieve this result."

In Calvisano, work to connect municipal buildings (town hall, library, multipurpose hall, outpatient clinic, preschool, elementary and middle schools, and multipurpose hall) to fiber optics will begin in early 2024.
