AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITY AND MYNET IN CURTATONE TO EXTEND THE FIBER OPTIC NETWORK

CURTATONE – The fiber optic network of Mynet is expanding in Curtatone: after providing businesses and private customers with the FTTC (Fiber To The Cabinet) service since as far back as 2011, the Mantua-based telco, prompted by numerous clients during the first lockdown, in recent months has also brought the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) connection to the Villaggio Eremo district, the only one that allows customers to completely break free from the old telephone lines, achieving Internet speeds of up to 1000M/s.

Now the fiber optic network is set to expand further with the cabling of new streets: thanks to the active collaboration with the municipal administration, the infrastructure extension will reach other areas of Eremo such as the kindergarten on Via Pellico and surrounding streets, in Levata Via Einaudi (where the residents of the "Le Dimore" residence, already cabled, are surfing at high speed) and Via Governolo, the Buscoldo industrial area, in San Silvestro Via XX Settembre, Via Amendola and the Bianchi-Aresi streets, reaching even the most distant areas from the town center such as San Lorenzo with a new FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) radio tower also connected to the fiber optic network, providing connections up to 50 Megabit.
