REGGIOLO, MYNET'S ULTRA-BROADBAND CIRCUIT EXPANDS
REGGIOLO (REGGIO EMILIA) – Mynet's fiber optic network, initially for businesses, is increasingly available to private users in Reggiolo, Emilia Romagna. Two years after the ring cabling from the A22 with fifty-five kilometers of long-distance infrastructure, twelve kilometers of access for two industrial zones, and over eighty percent of business clients connected, the telecom operator is now enhancing its services for retail customers by bringing true FTTH fiber optic (Fiber To The Home – fiber to the home) with speeds up to 1 Gbit/s to twenty more streets in the town.

Starting from Piazza Martiri, where a wi-fi hotspot was installed to bring fiber into the heart of the town center, the Mynet infrastructure has reached via Amendola and via Albinoni, with excavation carried out in collaboration with the Municipality, extending to the neighborhood between via De Nicola, viale Sturzo and via Iotti; the neighborhood between viale Borsellino, viale Falcone and viale Pirandello; the "composers" neighborhood between via Strauss, viale Brahms and viale Chopin; the neighborhood between viale Cherubini, viale Marcello and viale Paganini; the "nations" neighborhood between via Francia, via Germania and via Norvegia; and finally via Rota, via Scarlatti, and viale Casella. Industrial areas Gorna, Rame, and Ranaro are also connected.

According to Mynet President, Riccardo Barbera: «A more connected Reggiolo multiplies the competitive advantages for businesses and opportunities for citizens: this is the result of our recent intervention in the area, for which we must first thank the municipal administration, in the person of Mayor Roberto Angeli, who demonstrated vision and prudence in offering his fellow citizens such a valuable opportunity during a historically difficult moment, far beyond the classic copper connections.»

«Improving digital infrastructure by extending it to new streets and neighborhoods,» commented Mayor Roberto Angeli, «means offering citizens and the local economy new opportunities. For years, the Administration has been committed to strengthening services and enhancing local assets through new technologies, because we believe this is essential to looking toward the future. For this reason, we wanted to reinforce collaboration with Mynet.»
