SAN GIOVANNI DEL DOSSO (MANTOVA) – The municipal administration of San Giovanni del Dosso continues its commitment to bridging the digital divide: the town becomes faster, more connected, and smarter by connecting to the ultra-broadband network infrastructure of Mynet, a major digital highway, especially crucial for small rural centers, providing web access for citizens, businesses, and public offices, eliminating distance and technological barriers. Thanks to the synergy between the provider and the Municipality, through a call by Regione Lombardia, the five existing cabinets have been connected with fiber optic cables, enabling the FTTC (Fiber To The Cabinet) service with speeds up to 300 Mbit/s download and 40 Mbit/s upload, guaranteeing full coverage of the territory. The benefits of this ultra-fast connection are multiple, supporting smart working, remote learning, online shopping, smoother and more responsive gaming (thanks to very low ping), and high-resolution streaming. “Through this intervention,” explains Mayor Angela Zibordi, “in addition to creating a backbone to host fiber cables, we have prepared the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) connection at very high speed for the entire Pancaldo industrial area and public buildings, including the Town Hall, the multifunction civic hall, the sports center, the parish center, the senior center, the school complex on Via Virgilio (nursery, kindergarten, and primary school), as well as the preparation for the former municipal office. Finally, eight points of the CCTV surveillance system, previously connected via radio link, have been upgraded with fiber connections for enhanced security.” With this initiative, Mynet continues to expand its provincial cabling plans to bring the full potential of fiber optics to citizens and businesses in the most isolated or sparsely populated areas, meeting the growing demand for connectivity. “Mynet is a fully structured telecommunications operator,” explains General Manager Giovanni Zorzoni, “both the fiber optic cables connecting end users and the long-distance cables interconnecting towns, cities, and Italian regions are company-owned, ensuring maximum quality and reliability.” To launch the service, Mynet has prepared a special offer reserved for residents: further information is available by contacting the direct number 0376 22 22 00 or by email at home@mynet.it.
