POMPONESCO (MANTOVA) – A series of meetings has been organized to present the fiber optic service in the area and respond to the renewed needs of the citizens, increasingly relying on smart working and remote learning due to Covid: this is the project designed by Mynet for Pomponesco, in close collaboration with the Municipality. Three informative sessions are scheduled (by appointment only for safety reasons): the first will take place tomorrow, Friday, May 14, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at the civic hall on Via Fratelli Cantoni; the following two meetings are scheduled for May 28 and June 11 with the same arrangements.

It is worth noting that in Pomponesco all municipal offices of interest will soon be connected with FTTH (Fiber To The Home – true fiber optic into the building) at very high speeds: specifically, the Town Hall in Piazza XXIII Aprile, the primary and nursery schools, the theater, the Civil Protection office, and the sports facilities in Piazzale Togliani will be connected.

For private users, three FTTC cabinets (Fiber To The Cabinet – fiber optic to the street cabinet) will be installed, providing a basic service available to all with mixed fiber-copper connections at speeds up to 100 Mbit/s download and 20 Mbit/s upload, with the possibility to request a pure FTTH connection following a feasibility study. This is a significant investment by the company, aiming to overcome the limitations imposed by the digital divide, especially during the pandemic. The natural future evolution of the project includes FTTH fiber connections for all productive activities within the municipal territory.
