MYNET TRENTINO BRINGS FIBER OPTICS TO ARCO DI TRENTO

ARCO (TRENTO) – Roadworks are ongoing these days by Mynet Trentino for the preparation of the new FTTH fiber optic network project in Arco di Trento.

Part of the Mynet group, Mynet Trentino has, for two years, been carrying out targeted fiber optic infrastructure interventions in northern Italian municipalities where FTTC (fiber to the cabinet) services offer low speeds (≤50 Mbit/s), building a new proprietary network with true fiber optic (FTTH, fiber up to the building/apartment). In Arco, the current works involve the Via Santa Caterina district and will extend to Via Gazzoletti, Via della Provvidenza, Viale Rovereto, and also Via Marconi, Via Porta Scaria, Via S. Pietro, Via della Cinta and the central Via Vergolano. In this area, it will soon be possible to have a true FTTH connection with stable, guaranteed speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s download and 300 Mbit/s upload.

«In Trentino, Mynet is the only operator to own three fully buried backbone cables,» explains CEO Giovanni Zorzoni; «thanks to our proprietary DWDM optical transport network connecting Bolzano, Trento, Verona, Brescia, Bergamo, and Milan in a ring. Furthermore, Mynet Trentino is directly interconnected to all national CDNs and major international content providers, making it the only operator able to deliver ultra-high quality services to both businesses and private users, with guaranteed speeds and quality standards even during peak hours.»
