GRANA PADANO PROTECTION CONSORTIUM AND MYNET
The last two years have seen a significant growth in revenue, especially abroad, for the companies united under the Grana Padano Protection Consortium, adding in 2023 to the historic record of Grana Padano as the most consumed DOP cheese in the world also the leadership in value estimated by the ISMEA – Qualivita Report at 1.885 million euros.

This growth must be encouraged through innovation by all the companies in the supply chain, to which the Consortium aims to offer the opportunity to support it under increasingly favorable financial and technical conditions.

Telecommunications services are particularly important for reliability and constant updating, which can also be enhanced through targeted offers to Grana Padano companies, such as those defined in the agreement between the Protection Consortium and Mynet, a telecommunications operator owning a fiber optic infrastructure network extending across Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Emilia Romagna, and a leader in providing ultra-fast connectivity services to companies, public administrations, and individuals.

The Protection Consortium will highlight products and services specifically designed by Mynet to meet the specific needs of agricultural companies in the sector, activating the shared web kit, communications across various media, and promotional information spaces. In particular, special rates are planned for new service activations.

"Innovation is essential to compete in the markets, and technological innovation is fundamental for those producing Grana Padano, a cheese unchanged for a thousand years and therefore protected, guaranteed, enhanced, and immutable," explains Renato Zaghini, President of the Grana Padano Protection Consortium. "Among the tasks of the entity that brings together the entire production chain is to identify and evaluate the best opportunities, such as those that Mynet can offer, and find ways to make them particularly advantageous."

"The need for high-quality connections to innovate and remain competitive in the market is constantly expressed to us by agricultural entrepreneurs, also in light of the ongoing digitalization of the primary sector, supported by public financing measures," comments Giovanni Zorzoni, General Manager of Mynet. "The partnership with the Grana Padano Protection Consortium, a world-class excellence, represents a significant achievement. I thank President Zaghini and Director Berni for this important synergy."
