FREE INTERNET IN CASALOLDO: MYNET ACTIVATES 13 WIFI POINTS
CASALOLDO (MANTOVA) – A dense network of Wi-Fi points to make the institutional and social heart of the town smarter: this is the project carried out by Mynet for the Municipality of Casaloldo, which now officially enters the digital era.

Completed just a few days ago, the intervention carried out by the Mantua-based telecommunications operator is part of the "WiFi4Eu" project, an initiative of the European Union that provides local authorities with financial support to enhance wireless access points in their territories. Thanks to these funds, Casaloldo can now count on thirteen new Wi-Fi access points located in both external and internal public areas: in addition to the tower and the entire library complex, which usually host art exhibitions and cultural events, the theater has a high-performance point for both audience and service, the central Piazza Matteotti surrounded by commercial activities and the church, the entrance of the Municipality from the tree-lined Via Dante Alighieri and the nearby parking lot, and finally the Piazza Virgilio park with its water house, mainly frequented by children and parents, who can now easily connect and even consider working remotely for free.

Special attention has also been given to the festival and event area of the sports center on Via Montegrappa, covering the refreshment area, event area, and fields, with two access points able to serve up to 1,000 users simultaneously.

Finally, to facilitate access for citizens, both the council chamber and the interior of the municipal headquarters on Via Roma have been connected.

The installed wireless points are already fully operational and all connected to the pure Mynet fiber optic network to deliver the highest possible performance. The registration process is extremely quick, which citizens can complete independently in less than twenty seconds. To use the connection, users simply need to connect to the Wifi4EU network and register by entering their phone number; the registration will remain active for 24 hours and can be renewed daily.

«We are satisfied with the result achieved – says Mayor Emma Raschi – because once again we have shown that we are attentive to funding opportunities and, above all, able to seize them. The European call was an additional opportunity to carry out infrastructure interventions for the benefit of citizens without burdening the municipality's budget and allowing anyone to connect to the web completely free of charge.»
