MYNET TURNS ON THE VILLAPINTA VILLAGE IN BUGLIO IN MONTE: WORK UNDERWAY TO ACTIVATE FIBER OPTICS RIGHT INTO YOUR HOME

VILLAPINTA-BUGLIO IN MONTE (SONDRIO) – The laying of Mynet’s fiber optic network continues in Valtellina: work is currently underway in Buglio in Monte and specifically in the hamlet of Villapinta to complete the infrastructure works that will finally allow residents to access ultra-broadband connectivity.

Specifically, these are the streets affected by the works: Via Ca' Rossi, Via Grandera, Via Maroggia, Via Nervi, Via Valeriana, Via San Sisto, Via Provinciale, and Via Bugo. Along these routes, residents will soon be able to connect to true fiber optic technology in FTTH mode (Fiber To The Home, fiber directly into the home) as an alternative to current unstable and slow services (with speeds equal to or below 30 Mbit/s).

The Mayor, Valter Sterlocchi, expressed his satisfaction: «The agreement with Mynet to make fiber optic available to all citizens of Buglio in Monte, along with the implementation of the new public lighting system, allows our municipality to make tangible the dream of equipping every building with ultra-broadband by the end of 2023. This will enable us to offer high-value services to all citizens, such as telemedicine, smart working, and telemarketing solutions, as well as any service that can make our municipality efficient and innovative. Not to forget – adds Sterlocchi – the effort made for our schools: students now have access to technological equipment including PCs, tools for remote learning, and interactive whiteboards. The arrival of fiber optics, also for educational use, completes a project aimed at making Buglio in Monte a truly smart village.»
