ULTRA-BROADBAND VOUCHER, MYNET BEATS EVERYONE AND ACTIVATES THE FIRST COMPANY NATIONALLY
MONZAMBANO (MANTUA) – Voucher Plan, for Mynet latency time equals zero: in less than 72 hours the Mantua-based telecommunications operator, founded 27 years ago and a leader throughout northern Italy with over 30,000 km of proprietary fiber optic network, launched the accreditation procedures for the bonus and last Thursday morning activated the first business customer nationwide, the Mantua-based company FrigoTec of Monzambano.

The Voucher Plan for businesses, aimed at promoting ultra-fast connectivity and the digitalization of Italy’s production system, was launched only last Tuesday and is entirely based on time, since it will remain active until the allocated funds are exhausted. Over 600 million euros are on the table. A central role is played by telecommunications operators accredited on the portal managed by Infratel, through which companies can directly apply for the contribution, ranging from a minimum of 300 euros to a maximum of 2,500 euros for ultra-broadband connectivity services from 30 Mbit/s up to over 1 Gbit/s.

Mynet’s reaction was immediate, beating all competitors on time: from March 1st, the day the voucher plan opened, it was not only among the very first Italian operators to start the accreditation procedures by uploading to Infratel’s platform the first eligible user, but also the first operator nationwide to complete the entire procedure – from the funding request to activation – in just a few days.

Opening the way for activations in Italy, thanks to Mynet, is FrigoTec of Monzambano, a company with over ten years of experience specializing in the sale and technical assistance of refrigeration systems, and in commercial and industrial cooling and air conditioning, led by owner Andrea Donaera. The connectivity activated by Mynet for FrigoTec is absolutely extraordinary: 2 Gbit/s in symmetrical mode, meaning 2 billion bits per second both in download and upload, using a data transmission technology based on Mynet’s latest-generation FTTH (Fiber To The Home) true fiber optic infrastructure; even more extraordinary is that the company is located in the Morainic Hills, halfway between Monzambano and Pozzolengo, in a picturesque rural area practically unreachable by all other operators.

«We’ve been waiting for this measure for five years, and finally it’s here,» proudly comments Mynet’s General Director, Giovanni Zorzoni. – «We, as well as all other operators belonging to AIIP – the Italian Internet Providers Association, were well prepared and are seizing this opportunity to bring as many funds as possible to our territories to deeply improve our customers’ connectivity experience.» Zorzoni emphasizes the concept of territory: many companies can join the voucher plan and thus benefit from all the technological advantages that fiber optics bring, at zero cost. «Mynet is a company from Mantua that was the first in Italy to activate, using Infratel’s public funds, a free technical upgrade of such extraordinary value for businesses. The more companies take advantage of this measure, the more money we bring to the territory, and that means only one thing: more development and prosperity for our entire productive system.»
