POZZOLENGO, FIBER OPTICS BECOMES ACCESSIBLE TO ALL WITH MYNET

POZZOLENGO (BRESCIA) – A meeting point between three provinces (Brescia, Mantova, and Verona) and two regions (Lombardy and Veneto) of maximum development, Pozzolengo could not fail to be included in Mynet’s strategic plan for extending its high-performance proprietary fiber-optic network. The telecommunications operator, a leader across northern Italy, in recent months has brought ultra-broadband here as well – after Carpenedolo, Gottolengo, Acquafredda, and Verolanuova – providing high-speed, low-latency, zero packet-loss connections.

All municipal points of interest have been connected via FTTH (Fiber To The Home – true fiber optic into the building) at extremely high speeds: in particular, the town hall in Piazza della Repubblica, the municipal library in Piazza Don Carlo Gnocchi, the Barbizzoli kindergarten in Via Cavriana, the primary school in Via Italia Libera, and the Migliavacca middle school in Via Longarone are already connected.

FTTH fiber-optic connections have also been installed for all production activities in the industrial area in Ponte del Cantone: more than ten structured companies are already enjoying all the benefits of Mynet fiber optics.

Finally, to provide reliable service to private users, six FTTC cabinets (Fiber To The Cabinet – fiber to the street cabinet) have been installed, guaranteeing a base service available to all with mixed fiber-copper connections at speeds up to 100 Mbit/s download and 20 Mbit/s upload, with the possibility to request pure FTTH fiber connection following a feasibility study. A significant leap forward for the entire community of Pozzolengo, which can now take advantage of smart working, distance learning, and online shopping, as well as all the latest digital entertainment, including online gaming (smoother and more responsive thanks to very low ping) and high-resolution streaming.
