TOURISM REVIVAL POST-COVID, AGREEMENT BETWEEN HOTELERS AND MYNET TRENTINO

ANDALO/MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO (TRENTO) – Two of the most well-known ski resorts in the province of Trento are Andalo and Madonna di Campiglio, destinations for summer stays but especially winter vacations, sought-after by Italian and foreign tourists united by their passion for alpine skiing and snowboarding. Here too, Covid hit the travel and tourism industry hard (and consequently the hotel sector), bringing with it a general climate of uncertainty expressed by the local hoteliers’ associations.

A request for help to which Mynet Trentino promptly responded, contributing concretely to a successful restart of the tourism sector through higher-performance broadband access that is accessible to everyone, and, consequently, to greater digitalization of essential operational processes for hotels, such as fast Internet access for guests, electronic invoicing, check-in, and check-out. In this perspective, the collaboration with the hoteliers’ associations of Andalo and Madonna di Campiglio was renewed, with Mynet Trentino committing to significantly enhance the performance of its fiber-optic network while providing a major adjustment of recurring costs over 30% lower than initially agreed.

“The synergy with hoteliers dates back more than four years, when we were tasked with working on infrastructure in Andalo and Madonna di Campiglio, as well as in several centers in Val di Fassa and the Cimbrian Plateaus, to manage traffic peaks that were congesting the network, with the goal of guaranteeing high-quality performance to users in any situation,” explains the President of Mynet Trentino, Giovanni Zorzoni. “Today, the need for the sector is different: to have a stable, secure, and fast connection to make hotel services more efficient in this post-Covid economic recovery phase. Mynet Trentino, a 100% Trentino company, can meet this need by providing services to both businesses and individuals, with speed and quality standards always guaranteed, even during peak national network usage.”

“Certainly, the collaboration between Mynet Trentino and the Andalo Hotels Consortium has been very important in past years,” comments President Alessandro Bertagnolli, “and it continues to be important today through this agreement, which we consider fundamental for local tourism. Once again, Mynet Trentino demonstrates its commitment to Andalo for the relaunch of the territory, and we could not be prouder.”

Thus Christian Armani, President of the Madonna di Campiglio Hoteliers Association: “Ongoing win-win collaboration with Trentino partners who can enhance the services of our hotel businesses at competitive prices, guaranteed support, and mutual trust is very important. The progressive and increasingly rapid digitalization of many processes in our daily lives necessarily requires adequate infrastructure, which Mynet Trentino can provide, and which we will continue to use with satisfaction.”
