IN CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE, MYNET IS PREPARING ITS SECOND FIBER OPTIC CONNECTION FOR THE INDUSTRIAL AREA
IN CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE, MYNET IS PREPARING ITS SECOND FIBER OPTIC CONNECTION FOR THE INDUSTRIAL AREA
02/18/2021
CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE (MANTOVA) – "The expansion of the industrial area? An opportunity to enhance the existing fiber optic network throughout the municipal territory, benefiting both businesses and private users." The choice of the municipal administration of
Castiglione delle Stiviere
to continue expanding the industrial hub has sparked enthusiastic reactions from
Mynet
, which in the past had already implemented a significant infrastructure project in Castiglione specifically designed for companies: a total of 11 km, with an additional 5 km of expansions in subsequent years.
Currently, the industrial area is looped on the Brescia-Mantova infrastructure, but with the new works, a second loop will be created to provide highly reliable services even to smaller companies. "Mynet responds to the challenge launched by Mayor Volpi: we will bring a
second fiber optic path
parallel to the work in the industrial area
," explains the General Manager,
Giovanni Zorzoni
; "our network is already more resilient in the Castiglione area thanks to the presence of four backbone cables (Castiglione-Brescia, Castiglione-Cremona, Castiglione-Verona, and Castiglione-Mantova); now our main goal is to provide every company in the Castiglione industrial area with ring solutions, closing the existing fiber optic loop on a second urban route and making the maximum redundancy service accessible to all."
Mynet's intervention in Castiglione delle Stiviere is not limited to the productive sector: the operator's infrastructure expansion plan also includes private users, targeting neighborhoods with internet speeds lower than or equal to 30 Mbit/s. The first to benefit will be Belvedere, where all residential units will be connected with true fiber optic directly inside the buildings with speeds up to 1 Gbit/s; other areas will follow in the coming months.
On this front, Mynet is able to make a difference compared to other operators: fiber optic deployed as quickly as possible exactly where it is truly needed. How? Through techniques and software based on artificial intelligence-assisted algorithms for data mining aimed at modeling intervention areas; in other words, innovative analytical algorithms to bring fiber optics first exactly where it is needed, where existing networks are lacking.
"Years of experience in our R&D sector have allowed us to leverage data collection that can also be used to predict future traffic growth, thus making our interventions truly predictive and proactive, impacting planning to make our networks more efficient," Zorzoni explains. "We have already done this in Curtatone, Goito, Guidizzolo, and in the Verona area in Sorgà, Nogarole Rocca, and Nogara. This ethical use of big data allows us to help citizens in need of high performance more quickly."
