SAN GIACOMO DELLE SEGNATE (MANTOVA) – Thanks to Mynet, even San Giacomo delle Segnate is connected to fiber optic and navigates the web at high speed. This morning, the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the cabinet from which the mixed fiber-to-copper connection (FTTC Fiber To The Cabinet – fiber optic to the street cabinet) starts, allowing residents to surf the internet at up to 100 Mbit/s download and 20 Mbit/s upload; an important step forward for the entire community, addressing the limitations imposed by the digital divide, especially during the delicate pandemic phase.

Mayor Giuseppe Brandani personally attended the activation of the network in the municipality, recognizing the Mynet infrastructure as highly valuable not only technologically but also socially. "We are very happy to have achieved this result," commented the mayor, "certainly important for our administration, as it allows families and students to enjoy this much faster and undoubtedly safer connection. A great solution also for our companies, which can finally benefit from fiber optics; this is particularly important for productive realities that interact with foreign markets."

Today, Mynet activated the first private connections in the town, which can immediately navigate at 100/20 Mbit/s, soon upgradable to 300/40 Mbit/s. The industrial area of San Giacomo is already prepared for a FTTH (Fiber To The Home – true fiber optic to the building) connection with speeds up to 1 Gbit/s; works, started last summer, were completed in September and allowed cabling not only for business customers but also for the town hall, middle schools, elementary schools, nursery, library, civic hall, and former elementary school.

Thanks to Mynet, the only operator currently providing service in San Giacomo delle Segnate as the owner of the infrastructure, more than 90% of the municipal territory is now connected to ultra-broadband services. From now on, not only work and distance learning, but also digital leisure opportunities such as low-latency gaming and high-resolution streaming, become a reality here.
