WITH MYNET, FREE WI-FI HAS ARRIVED IN SAN MARTINO DALL'ARGINE
SAN MARTINO DALL'ARGINE (MANTOVA) – Three new wi-fi points to freely access the internet in public areas of the town center: announced by the Mayor of San Martino dall'Argine, Alessio Renoldi, together with Mynet.

Completed a few days ago, the intervention carried out by the Mantua-based telecommunications operator allowed the Municipality to activate the "WiFi4Eu" project, a European Union initiative that provides local authorities with financial support to enhance wireless access points in their territories. Thanks to these funds, San Martino dall'Argine can now rely on new wi-fi supply points located in external public areas: in addition to the municipal headquarters and the arcades up to the post offices (served by three wi-fi points), also Piazza Castello (where three more access points have been activated) and Piazza Matteotti (with four wi-fi points), the two main meeting places around which the economic and social life of the town revolves.

The installed wireless points have been fully operational since yesterday and are all connected to the Mynet pure fiber optic network to deliver maximum performance. Each point will simultaneously connect hundreds of users with 100 Mbit bandwidth; the registration procedure at the access points is extremely fast, and citizens can complete it independently in less than twenty seconds.

"We are very happy to have won this European grant," comments Renoldi, "with 15,000 euros non-repayable we provided something that was missing in San Martino. Previously there was a free wi-fi, but it was quite rudimentary, while now it is high-performing and innovative. Especially in this historical moment, with schools closed and distance learning, having a good connection is essential. It is an additional service that the Municipality provides free of charge to citizens."
