MYNET LAUNCHES FIBER OPTICS FOR HOMES IN ACQUAFREDDA

ACQUAFREDDA (BRESCIA) – Thanks to Mynet, Acquafredda is now connected to fiber optics and surfing the web at high speed. A fiber-to-cabinet mixed network (FTTC - Fiber To The Cabinet) has been activated in the municipal area, allowing citizens to access the internet at speeds up to 100 Mbit/s download and 20 Mbit/s upload; a significant investment by the company, aimed at overcoming the limitations imposed by the digital divide, particularly during the pandemic.

To meet the renewed needs of citizens, forced by Covid to increasingly rely on smart working, distance learning, and online shopping, the telecommunications operator prioritized work in Acquafredda, strategically located midway between Brescia and Mantua and close to Desenzano del Garda.

“Considering the historical moment we are living in, where the lack of a fast connection is a direct cause of enormous inconveniences,” comments Mynet’s General Manager, Giovanni Zorzoni, “and taking into account the numerous requests received from citizens, we took action to find a concrete solution, finally bringing fiber to Acquafredda.
