CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE, MYNET FIBER OPTICS ARRIVES IN THE VILLAGES

CASTIGLIONE DELLE STIVIERE (MANTOVA) – Bringing ultra-broadband not only to the town center but also to its surrounding hamlets: this is the goal of Mynet’s new project in the municipality of Castiglione delle Stiviere. After completing work in the Belvedere district and the industrial area, the telco – a leader throughout northern Italy – is now extending its fiber optic network to the town center and outlying villages. In recent weeks, Mynet has finished the first essential road excavations to enable FTTH (Fiber To The Home) connections with speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s for all municipal buildings.

At the same time, Mynet’s cabling plan for Castiglione includes a significant portion of work in the hamlets of Gozzolina and Grole: in these areas, recent activities involved the installation of optical cables to make operational the priority connections for schools and video surveillance systems that help ensure residents’ safety.

The project, scheduled for completion around March, makes extensive use of the town’s existing public lighting infrastructure, along with new extensions currently being built by the municipal administration.
