MORI, MYNET TRENTINO'S FIBER OPTIC NETWORK EXPANDS: NEW CONNECTIONS PLANNED IN THE INDUSTRIAL ZONE AND BESAGNO
MORI, MYNET TRENTINO'S FIBER OPTIC NETWORK EXPANDS: NEW CONNECTIONS PLANNED IN THE INDUSTRIAL ZONE AND BESAGNO
01/14/2022
MORI (TRENTO) – One of the first towns in the province of Trento to be reached by the fiber optic network of
Mynet Trentino
was
Mori
, together with its hamlet
Besagno
. This area marked the starting point of the major pure fiber infrastructure project led by the local telecommunications operator, which continues today with the goal of bringing advanced technology and network infrastructure to high-potential industrial zones located far from major urban centers.
In this small locality at the foot of Mount Baldo, Mynet Trentino extended its optical network back in 2018, leveraging existing infrastructure to reach all contracted premises (over fifty) and aiming to expand fiber coverage to
all 200 buildings within the hamlet.
The project was completed within about eighteen months from design approval and authorization by the relevant authorities, wrapping up in the second half of 2019.
Since then, Mynet’s presence in Mori has steadily grown: new users were connected in the following months as planned, while the town’s industrial and artisanal zone was also linked to the network thanks to strong collaboration with the municipal administration and local businesses. More than three years later,
Mynet Trentino’s proprietary fiber network continues to expand
, with new medium- and large-sized business connections scheduled throughout January.
«Mynet has a strong presence in Trentino, where it has carried out extensive projects to provide fiber connectivity to companies located in areas that were previously out of reach of high-speed networks,» explains
Giovanni Zorzoni
, President of Mynet Trentino. «Fiber optics are now an essential requirement for Trentino’s industrial and artisanal areas, which need ultra-high-speed data transmission to ensure greater efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness.»
