BARDOLINO, MYNET FIBER OPTICS ARRIVES IN THE DISTRICTS: THE CABLING PROJECT IS NEARLY COMPLETED

BARDOLINO (VERONA) – The fiber optic cabling plan developed by Mynet for the charming lakeside town of Bardolino is nearing completion. During 2021, after completing the installation of the fiber backbone running through the town center and along the eastern shore of Lake Garda, the telecommunications operator’s technical teams finalized civil infrastructure works, carried out splicing, and connected the main municipal buildings to the ultra-fast fiber network, delivering speeds of up to 1 Gigabit/s. These include the Town Hall in Piazzetta San Gervasio and the “Dante Alighieri” primary and middle schools.

As part of the “WiFi4EU” project—an initiative promoted by the European Union to support local administrations in developing wireless access points across their territories—new service points have been installed in Piazza Matteotti, Parco Bassani, and Piazza Lenotti. Meanwhile, connections are still being completed for the former Chiesa Disciplina, the municipal library, and Villa Carrara Park. Additional Wi-Fi access points have already been installed in Piazzale Moro, Borgo Garibaldi, and at the Fire Brigade station on Via Gardesana Dell’Acqua.

The next steps, scheduled for January, include the activation of Wi-Fi hotspots outside Bardolino’s town center—specifically in the hamlet of Vela D’Oro Cisano, at the elementary school, the community hall, and in Piazza Risorgimento in Calmasino.
