FIBRE OPTICS AT THE SERVICE OF CULINARY PROFESSIONALS: MYNET AND CAST SIGN A PARTNERSHIP
Brescia, 5 November 2026 – Two local centres of excellence, founded just a few years apart, are joining forces. Mynet, a telecommunications company specialising in fibre-optic connectivity, and CAST – Italian Institute of Culinary Arts & Hospitality have launched a partnership that brings high-speed connectivity to one of Italy's leading culinary training institutes. The agreement brings together two business stories that began just a few kilometres and a few years apart: CAST, founded in Brescia in 1997, and Mynet, established in 1995.

The agreement goes beyond the mere provision of technical services, reshaping the digital infrastructure of the entire campus. Mynet's connectivity makes it possible to offer live-streamed courses and distance learning programmes, real-time translation services powered by artificial intelligence, while guaranteeing all students free Wi-Fi access for both educational activities and personal use. Coverage also extends across the full range of the institution's operational, management and administrative activities, demonstrating an initiative that goes beyond teaching to encompass the organisation as a whole.

“Supporting an institution like CAST means contributing to the growth of Brescia, a city where we have customers, employees and business operations, as well as a physical office in Montichiari, and where we intend to continue investing,” says Giovanni Zorzoni, General Manager of Mynet. “There is also another aspect in which we strongly identify with CAST: Mynet is a company deeply rooted in its local area, seeking to play an active role in the community, not only through its business activities but also by supporting organisations that contribute to its growth. We firmly believe that a company also has a responsibility towards the community in which it was founded and operates. For us, doing business means this too: creating connections in every sense and building opportunities for shared growth.”

“Technological innovation has now become an essential ingredient in the world of advanced culinary and hospitality education as well,” says Cristian Cantaluppi, General Manager of CAST. “The partnership with Mynet represents a decisive step forward for our institute. Thanks to this new, powerful infrastructure, we are not only optimising the school's day-to-day management but also significantly expanding the reach of our teaching. Tools such as live streaming and simultaneous translation allow us to engage with a global audience and provide our students with the best technologies available on the market. Having a leading company from our own local area supporting us throughout this digital transformation makes this achievement even more meaningful.”
