MYNET CONNECTS VEROLANUOVA TO SUPER FIBER OPTICS
VEROLANUOVA (BRESCIA) – Mynet plants another flag in the province of Leonessa: in recent hours, the teams of the telecommunications operator leading all over northern Italy have also connected the municipal area of Verolanuova to super-fast fiber optic, a town in Brescia with over 8,000 inhabitants, crossed by the Brescia-Cremona railway line.

Completed just a few days ago, Mynet's intervention allowed the Municipality to activate the “WiFi4Eu” project, a European Union initiative that provides local authorities with financial support to enhance wireless access points in their territories. Thanks to these funds, Verolanuova now has new Wi-Fi supply points, both indoor and outdoor, located in public interest areas: among these, in addition to the town hall and public library, are Parco Nocivelli, Piazza della Libertà, the swimming pool and municipal stadium areas, Via Bambini with the railway station, Piazza Malvestiti, and Piazza di Cadignano.

The installed wireless points are already fully operational and all connected through real fiber optic: according to initial data collected by Mynet, despite Covid, since November 20th more than a hundred users have already independently connected to the free Wi-Fi.

«We have positioned free Wi-Fi access points in strategic locations in the town – commented Mayor Stefano Dotti – to provide fast navigation for our citizens. This is a fundamental service that complements the fiber optic network implemented in recent years, allowing not only faster navigation but also greater interconnection with surrounding areas and the world, services that today are essential.»
