MYNET TRENTINO CONNECTS THE POPULAR UNIVERSITY OF TRENTINA TO ULTRA-BROADBAND

ARCO (TRENTO) – Thanks to the new fiber optic network infrastructure extension project in the Municipality of Arco, designed by Mynet Trentino, the Arco branch of the Università Popolare Trentina – School of Professions for the Tertiary Sector has recently been connected to Mynet's ultra-fast network.

The intervention, which began in recent weeks, involved laying 7 km of microtubes and preparing the entire fiber optic network infrastructure (including about 20 manholes and a dozen junction sleeves), with cable termination at the Provincial PoP; a significant step forward for the Trentino professional institute, which can now enjoy an ultra-broadband connection with speeds up to 1 Gigabit/s for all training activities offered to students, including distance learning, as well as for all private users within 50 meters of the fiber access network, who will also be able to browse at speeds up to 1 Gigabit/s.

"The dramatic emergency caused by the pandemic," comments the President of Mynet Trentino, Giovanni Zorzoni, "has once again highlighted the need to equip the school system with the most modern technological solutions. The enabling factor is fast and secure connectivity, which will allow, among other things, the adoption of modern distance learning platforms. That is why the Mynet group, in its independent plan to develop its ultra-broadband proprietary network, always pays particular attention to school complexes not yet reached by 'true fiber'."

"The achievement with the Università Popolare Trentina, thanks to investments in the construction of a proprietary access and backhaul network, is intended as a springboard for Mynet Trentino. Further confirmation of this commitment," explains the creation manager of Mynet Trentino, Armando Formato, "is the start of the technical study for the new infrastructure extension of Mynet in the Municipality of Riva del Garda."
