PIADENA DRIZZONA (CREMONA) – Mynet invests in the Cremona area: in recent weeks, the leading telecommunications company in Northern Italy has started work to connect the Municipality of Piadena Drizzona to the ultra-broadband network. The project includes the FTTH (Fiber To The Home, true optical fiber all the way into the building) connection with download speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s for all municipal offices, including the town hall, library, the new headquarters of the municipal police, as well as the “G.M. Sacchi” Comprehensive Institute, the SPRAR (former Drizzona town hall), the nursery and kindergarten, the civic center in Via Moro, the fire station, the football field, the sports hall with swimming pools, and the Civil Protection headquarters.

Mynet’s work, expected to be completed in the second half of June, is being carried out mainly using the no-dig method — a technique involving robotic systems that allow the installation of underground pipes and infrastructure without open trenching. Starting from the Vho district and passing through Via Matteotti, Via della Libertà, and Via Platina with the industrial-artisan area, reaching the center of Drizzona, the company is building the first infrastructure connections to enable businesses and residents to access ultra-broadband services. Regarding household connections, it is already possible to check whether Mynet’s pure FTTH fiber service can be activated after a specific feasibility study.
